ANNA ANIQ FLOWER - THE TUNISIAN MESMERIZING JASMINE

ANNA ANIQ FLOWER - THE TUNISIAN MESMERIZING JASMINE

For those of you who didn’t get the chance to know the jasmine flower and more specifically Tunisian Jasmine until now, let us introduce this marvel to you.
Close your eyes and imagine an incredibly beautiful small flower with delicate white petals and a subtle fragrance, which already enchants you when you walk by its tree.

Now imagine a warm summer night and yourself walking down the streets of Tunis, surrounded by the laughter of your friends, while summer breeze is caressing your face, and a delicate smell of jasmine is getting out of the ‘machmoum’ you have in your hand.

Wondering what a ‘machmoum’ is? It’s simply a small bouquet made out of jasmine blossoms, handcrafted by Tunisian artisans, who collect every day still closed fresh flowers, fix each one of them skillfully on a stalk of Halfa grass, then surround a bunch of them together with a red cotton thread to form the bouquet. These Machmoums are sold or offered everywhere during the summer, to the great pleasure of all.

ANNA ANIQ FLOWER This passion for this delicate blossom -which is also coveted by the greatest perfumers- also made it the national flower of Tunisia, symbolizing pureness, the sweetness of life and tolerance. It has even given its name to the revolution, which took place there a few years ago: “The Jasmine Revolution”.

Now you certainly understand better why we have chosen Jasmine as the symbol for ANNA ANIQ: the beauty and delicacy along with the strong symbolism of this flower leave no one indifferent and we are completely in love with it! What about you?
